Morning Raga – Online Hindustani classical vocal solo

 

The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High Commission of India, Colombo,will be holding an“ Morning Raga” Online Hindustani classical vocal Solo by Lahiru Gimhana Komangoda on 15th November 2020 at 6pm on its FACEBOOK page https://www.facebook.com/ICCRSriLanka.

Lahiru Gimhana Komangoda from Colombo, Sri Lanka was an ICCR scholar to India for pursuing BA Hons music at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh. Having completed it with, receiving the gold medal for his undergraduate performances, he joined University of Delhi for his Masters degree in music and completed with first class in 2018.

His training of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music was gained under eminent artists and gurus like Prof Ojesh Pratap Singh, Dr. Sunita Bhale and Ustad Raza Ali Khan. He is also bearing Sangeet Visharad and Sangeet Nipun degrees from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeet, Lucknow.

He has performed at many prestigious events like Mood Indigo Festival at IIT Mumbai, Central Zone Youth Festival-India, and South Asian Youth Summit 2018. He is the Founder and Director of Colombo Oriental Choir.
